“Light Painting” Program – Share Your Photos

The recent Illuminating the Night: A Light Painting Program was a resounding success, bringing together over 20 attendeesโ€”including a few welcome new faces – for a highly interactive evening of photographic creativity.

Please upload your best photos from the evening to the club gallery on the this page. We look forward to seeing your results from the three hands-on stations. Feel free to also include any behind-the-scenes photos of members practicing.

  • Indoor Model: Attendees experimented with illuminating a live subject, using moving light sources to paint dynamic, ethereal effects into their portraits.
  • Spirograph (Light Trails): This indoor station allowed photographers to capture complex, geometric patterns by recording colorful lights in constant, swinging motion.
  • Outdoor Firetruck: A major highlight of the night. Members stepped outside to practice selectively lighting a stationary firetruck, experimenting with different angles and intensities to create dramatic, highly textured images of the vehicle.

Sharing your work is a great way for us to review the techniques we learned together!
