Interclub Competition – New Haven vs Flagpole Showdown

Witness the Photography Showdown!

Join the Flagpole Photographers as we go head-to-head against the New Haven Camera Club in our annual interclub competition. Live Judging & Dessert included. Over the past month, our members have submitted and voted on hundreds of photos to select our single strongest entry for each of the 25 competition categories.

Tonight, we see how our best stacks up against New Haven’s best. A guest judge, Jay Cohen will review the paired photos side-by-side and declare a winner for each category. The club with the most wins takes the title!

Jay Cohen is the in-person judge. Jay is an award-winning photographer living in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He is passionate about capturing the beauty in the world around us. Jay is a contributing photographer for Stamford City Lifestyle and previously photographed for the Scarsdale Enquirer. His work has been featured in Fine Eye Magazine, B&W Minimalism Magazine, and Shot! Magazine, and is on display at the Carriage Barn Art Center. He is a frequent guest lecturer and competition judge. Jay recently published “Moving Pictures”, a 110 page retrospective of his work. His popular YouTube channel is: “JC Images: Behind the Shot”.

  3. Verdict: Both photos return to the screen. The judge discusses them and selects the winner.
