Eight Flagpole members ventured into the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area of New York City for a great time of photography on Saturday, September 14. Thanks to Sandy for organizing this field trip, to Darrell for sharing some of his favorite locations, and to Chane and Kerry for driving!

The timing was perfect as September’s competition next week includes the Assigned Subject of “Bridges” with the Monthly Challenge of “City Lights” and there were many opportunities to capture both. As a bonus, we also were able to take many “Street Photography” shots that may fit in with that Assigned Subject in March. We were even treated to an unexpected fireworks display next to the Brooklyn Bridge at the end of our evening there!
