New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) has announced that Flagpole Photographers finished third in the Digital Pictorial Class A Competition for the 2015-2016 season.
Flagpole Photographers earned 264 overall points in the regional competition for the third place finish. The Greater Lynn Photographic Association placed first with 269 points and the Gateway Camera Club narrowly edged Flagpole by one point for second place with 265 points.
Over the course of the Fall, Winter, and Spring competitions, Flagpole member, Erik Landegren, earned two first place ribbons. His image “Portrait Under the Surface” tied for first place in the Fall competition and his “Fire and Ice Cocktails” tied for first in the Winter competition.
Flagpole Photographers also received five Honorable Mention ribbons over the course of the year as well; Rick Tyrseck’s “Canyon Sunrise,” Darrell Harrington’s “Watching Over Her Harbor,” Rhonda Cullens’ “Yosemite’s Half Dome At Sunset,” Erik Landegren’s “The Dancer,” and Sandy Schill’s “Miss Claire.”
NECCC is a nonprofit umbrella group for 80 camera clubs in the New England states. The annual recognition is determined by the compilation of the Fall, Winter, and Spring NECCC competition scores. Each club may submit four digital images from different members of their club for each judged event.
