Program – Ice Cream Social, Creativity Boost and Photo Shoot

Visitors are welcome to attend this free event.

A creative photo isn’t just a picture – it’s a spark. It’s a wild mind and a disciplined eye, seeing the ordinary world in an extraordinary way, and capturing that vision to share with others. Whether it’s a surprising angle, a playful use of light, or a composition that breaks the rules, creativity is about finding that ‘something different’ that makes your photo stand out.

We’ll explore how to infuse creativity into your photography through techniques like:

  • Mindful Observation: Truly seeing the scene in front of you, uncovering hidden details and possibilities.
  • Intentional Additions: Enhancing your vision by deliberately incorporating elements that elevate the composition.
  • Playful Experimentation: Embracing the joy of trying new approaches and pushing creative boundaries.

Most importantly, we’ll learn to evaluate our work by asking:

  • Is it unique or interesting?
  • What specifically makes it stand out?
  • Where does creativity shine in the supporting elements?

Because ultimately, the goal is to have fun and create photos you’re proud of!

Hands-On Activity Stations

These creative photo ops present a fantastic opportunity to capture a truly remarkable photo. Patience and persistence, however, are key when aiming for that “perfect” shot, as multiple attempts may be necessary. What to Bring

Bring your camera and any equipment you’d like. A tripod is required for some photo ops. A 50mm lens works for most scenes, so a zoom lens that includes 50mm offers the most flexibility. A camera provides more control for certain shots, but a phone camera will work for many shots.
