Whether you’re working with controlled lighting for intricate close-ups or embracing the natural light of a vibrant garden, this program will show you how to transform simple blooms into breathtaking photos that truly blossom. This free event is open to the public—everyone’s welcome!

- Mastering Light for Floral Portraits (Indoor & Outdoor): Learn how the quality and direction of natural light, the use of diffusers, and strategic backlighting can dramatically enhance petal textures, colors, and overall mood in your flower photos, adapting techniques for both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Composition & Perspective in Any Setting: Explore powerful compositional tools like shallow depth of field for isolation, the rule of thirds, leading lines, and unique angles (from eye-level to macro) to create captivating floral photos, whether arranged in a studio or found in a sprawling garden.
- Essential Gear & Field Tips for All Conditions: Understand the most useful equipment for flower photography (lenses, tripods, macro accessories) and practical advice for working with natural elements outdoors versus controlling your setup indoors.

- Outdoor Garden Simulation (or live plants if available): Practice composing shots within a simulated garden environment, focusing on background blur, finding interesting perspectives, and managing natural light.
- Macro & Detail Exploration: Use macro lenses (or your phone’s macro mode) to discover and capture the tiny, hidden worlds within flowers and plants, focusing on texture, pattern, and color in extreme close-up photos.
