The dreaded sign-in loop is back—where it’s impossible to tell if you are really signed in or not.
|
This happens because your web browser is trying to be helpful. It saves (or "caches") a copy of the website to make it load faster, but sometimes it stubbornly holds onto the "signed out" version of the site even after you sign in. I’ve made a few changes to our website behind the scenes to help stop this, but your device might still be stuck on the old version.
|
If you are having problems signing in, please try the Recommended Option below to clear out the old data.
|
|
🌟 Recommended Option: Clear Flagpole Photographers Data
Try this first. It only deletes data for our website.
|
For Google Chrome (Desktop)
|
- Open Chrome and go to https://flagpolephotographers.com/.
- Look at the address bar at the top of the screen. Just to the left of the website address, click the Site Information icon (it looks like two small toggle switches or a padlock).
- In the menu that drops down, click on Cookies and site data.
- Click on Manage on-device site data.
- You will see a small window listing data for flagpolephotographers.com. Click the Trash Can icon next to any items listed here to delete them.
- Click Done, then restart (reboot) your computer.
- Open Safari.
- In the menu bar at the very top of your screen, click on Safari, then select Settings (or Preferences if you are on an older Mac).
- At the top of the new window, click the Privacy tab (the icon looks like a hand).
- Click the Manage Website Data... button.
- A list of websites will load. In the small search box in the upper right corner of this window, type flagpolephotographers.
- Click on flagpolephotographers.com in the list to highlight it, then click the Remove button at the bottom left.
- Click Done, close the settings window, and restart (reboot) your computer.
For Safari on iPhone/iPad
|
- Open your device's Settings app (the gear icon).
- Scroll down and tap on Safari.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap Advanced.
- Tap Website Data.
- In the search bar at the top, type flagpolephotographers.
- Swipe left on the flagpolephotographers.com entry and tap Delete (or tap Edit at the top right, tap the red minus circle, and tap Delete).
- Close the settings window, and restart (reboot) your device.

⚠️ The Aggressive "Clean Slate" Option
Only use this if the above fails!
|
Try to avoid this option if possible, but I did have to use this on Rhonda’s device to finally fix the loop.
|
WARNING: Doing this will scorch the earth and delete all history, cookies, and cache across your entire browser. It will sign you out of every other website you use (like your email, Amazon, Facebook, etc.). Make sure you know your passwords before doing this!
