As many of you know, Susan Mosser has been the driving force behind NECCC for decades and her husband, Jake, who was also very involved with NECCC passed away in May. They are having a celebration of his life on Sunday, August 17, at the Greater Lynn Photographic Association in Lynn, MA and have invited our club members to attend. Jake was a great photographer and a frequent speaker and judge. For many years he also did image critiques at the NECCC conferences. Susan continues to work very hard on many things that directly impact our club including working on the NECCC Digital Interclub and Individual Print Competitions, ordering and mailing awards and ribbons, and just about everything else connected to NECCC. Flagpole Photographers sent a card to Susan and we also made a donation in Jake's name to NECCC.

564 Boston Street, Lynn, MA.
This memorial will be an open house to remember Jake, his friendship and all he did for photography and nature from 1pm - 4pm. Hors d'oeuvres, light refreshments and libations will be served with a short showcase (two songs) from one of Jake's past showcases that he presented to many camera clubs and at NECCC conferences. There will also be a short memorial to Jake with images of him presented to music by Barbara Rozavsky, HonNEC. These will be presented at about 2:30-3PM. Jakes prints will be displayed throughout the club's main room.
Anyone who wishes to speak and say a few words about Jake and their memories of him are welcome to do so between 2-3PM.
As Jake's and Susan's families will be joining us from Maine, we hope many of our photography friends from Greater Lynn and other NECCC member camera clubs and other friends in the photographic community will join us and the families to raise a glass to Jake and remember him and his generosity to photography through his teaching, judging and presentations throughout New England and various organizations throughout the USA.

Jake had an idea in the late 1980’s that Greater Lynn should own its own building. With the help of the GLPA Board of Directors, he worked to get GLPA 501C tax status for donations, and then established the GLPA Building Fund, which after fund raising for ten years supported by events and generous membership donations, along with the additional financial help of departed member Mike Videtta, the fund allowed us to purchase and remodel in 1997 the club headquarters that we now reside in.
The address for Greater Lynn Headquarters is 564 Boston St, Lynn, Ma. The building is handicap accessed (go to the back of the building) and air conditioned. You may park in the club’s lot in back of the building or in the church lot next door to the building.

Casual Dress - Jeans were Jakes favorite.
